Back To The Future star Christopher Lloyd Will Join The Cast of The Mandalorian For Its Third Season

Great Scott! Last Friday, it was announced that Dr Emmett Brown himself will join the cast of the hit Disney+ original The Mandalorian for its third season. At the age of 83-years-old, the Back To The Future superstar is still going strong and has been in many hit titles across his career from a variety of genres. Still keeping to the space theme, Christopher Llyod also appeared in Star Trek III: The Search For Spock as Commander Kruge and will now travel across the galaxy to star in Star Trek’s main competition in the Star Wars universe.

The season two finale of The Mandalorian ended with the emotional final scene of the Mandalorian handing over Grogu (or Baby Yoda as many of us have called him) as Luke Skywalker arrived onboard Moff Gideon’s after the Mando and his crew fought an intense battle. Since then the Mandalorian has parted ways with the child but yet still misses him as we saw their story still continuing in a few episodes in The Book Of Boba Fett. With Grogu and the Mandalorian finally reunited together, we can definitely expect to see these two companions travelling the galaxy together.

Although the third season is confirmed by now and has already begun filming in South California, we still don’t know what to expect in its third season. What we do know for certain at the moment is that the usual characters are returning such as Pedro Pascal as the Mandalorian alongside Grogu, Giancarlo Esposito as Moff Gideon, Carl Weathers as Greek Karga and Katee Sackhoff as Bo-Katan with the potential of other fan favourites returning.

But one thing is for sure, Christopher Lloyd is returning to what he does best in the sci-fi genre by travelling to a galaxy far far away in the world of The Mandalorian. However, as of writing this Christopher’s role in the third season is still kept under wraps as well as what exactly season three is going to be about. What we could possibly expect is a similar foe to the first two seasons as Moff Gideon makes his return and of course, Grogu will have his part to play in the series some way or another.

The Mandalorian on Disney+

But don’t worry because we still have one hell of a lot to look forward to this year. The brand new upcoming Disney+ original Obi-Wan Kenobi is set to release later this May with Ewan McGregor reprising his role as the famous Jedi once again since Star Wars: Revenge Of The Sith which I’m sure all of us are excited for. As well as that, the LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga video game is set to release in just a few weeks’ time on April 5th which by the way looks absolutely stunning. So it doesn’t look like we’ll be short of Star Wars content to dive into until the third season of The Mandalorian is released.
