Movie Duos That Just Work Well Together

From all the movies we’ve seen over the years, we’ve been introduced to some memorable duos who haven’t only worked well in one film but also have worked well in other movies they have starred together in. So today, we’re going to take a look at some of these iconic movie duos

Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart

Scene from ‘Central Intelligence

First of all, how can you not love these two? The Rock and Kevin Hart have been in countless movies together and they never disappoint to deliver the same comedic friendship they have from start to finish. No matter what film it is, the same relationship we see between these two is the exact same which is something I always look forward to when I see Dwayne and Kevin are going to be in the same movie together. The best we see from them is when they have this kind of frenemy banter we see where their characters may not always get along at first but as the movie develops, the characters are drawn to each other more making them friends and the perfect duo later on. We see this in most of their movies together but especially in Central Intelligence and Jumanji.

Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson

Scene from ‘Zoolander 2’

Just like The Rock and Kevin Hart, these two have been in countless movies together through the years such as Night At The Museum series, Zoolander, the Focker franchise and many more classic movies. This duo is by far the most recognisable acting duo which has brought many laughs to the big screen and no matter what characters they portray they always deliver the same dynamic personalities we love them for. Not only that but they have even carried on being celebrity best friends outside the film industry as well.

Margot Robbie and Will Smith

Scene from ‘Focus’

These two have proven they have a fantastic dynamic together every time they step into the limelight. The duo first starred together in Focus where they both had a comedic personality on screen as two con-artists and their characters would always try to one-up one another. A year later they both appeared in Suicide Squad playing Deadshot and Harley Quinn respectively.

Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson

Scene from Marvel’s ‘Avengers’

Most of you will know these two from starring as Captain America and Black Widow in the Avengers films. The two characters obviously had a huge part to play together in the Avengers franchise as they have starred in six MCU movies together. However, before that they have actually also in two other movies together way before the MCU’s time. The first being The Perfect Score and the other The Nanny Diaries.

Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson

Scene from ‘Men In Black: International’

A fairly new duo on the scene first appearing in Thor: Ragnarok which lit the flame for this two as they proved to be an incredible team. They later returned on screen in Men In Black: International. Although the movie got mixed reviews (I personally enjoyed it) these two once again showed to be the beating heart of the film as fans and critics loved their chemistry together.

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost

Scene from ‘Hot Fuzz’

Do I even need to talk about these two? If you haven’t seen one of their movies then you must have been living under a rock. First making their debut together in the British series Spaced, their long term partnership on screen had only just scratched the surface as they then made the setup to movies with Shaun Of The Dead. Fans adored these two on screen and their dynamic worked beautifully together. The hit titles Hot Fuzz and The World’s End also proved why these two had an exceptional friendship not only on screen but off screen as well. The duo then led themselves to co-writing the comedy sci-fi film Paul.

Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly

Scene from ‘Holmes & Waston’

Will Ferrell is a fantastic actor showcasing his unique comedic style and ever since he tagged along with Reilly they have become a popular hit in the comedy genre. First beginning their journey together with Talladega Nights in 2006 then moved on to arguably their most well-known piece of work in Step Brothers. Both actors have had huge success outside of their partnership but we would love for them to one day return and produce another great hit.
