What Can We Expect In Captain America 4?

Anthony Mackie, who is famously known for playing the role of The Falcon in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has agreed a deal to star as the new Captain America in Marvel’s upcoming Captain America 4. But what else do we know about the fourth instalment in the Captain America series?

Well ladies and gentlemen, the news all Marvel fans have been waiting for as finally come out. Anthony Mackie will officially reprise his newly gained role as Captain America in Marvel’s Captain America 4. Now obviously we won’t have much to go on regarding what the movie is actually going to be about or who’s going to star but for certain we know that both head writer Malcolm Spellman and staff writer Dalan Mussan of ‘The Falcon and The Winter Solider’ have been said to co-write the film. However, no name has been attached to the director position as of yet. But what is interesting is that Malcolm Spellman has also been listed as a producer according to the films IMDb page.

It’s no surprise we’ve got little to no information yet as Mackie’s deal has literally just been announced pretty much, which is probably why we haven’t got an officially title yet, so don’t hold your breath for any new pieces of information anytime soon because as we all know, Marvel loves to keep its movies highly kept secrets.

Regarding what the film is actually going to be about or focus on, we know absolutely nothing right now. But what we could expect is seeing a continuation from ‘The Falcon and The Winter Solider’ TV series with possibly Sebastian Stan returning as Bucky Barnes and Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter. Also, we may see Wyatt Russell return to his role as John Walker and Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ character Valentina Allegra de Fontaine as we saw her recruit Walker in the last episode of the miniseries. She has also been suspected to feature in the upcoming film since her small appearance in the end credit scene of Black Widow which we’re not too sure what its trying to set up. So could we see John Walker and Valentina to Captain America 4 but this time as the villains? Now that sounds like a good story.

Obliviously we’re going to have to wait a wile now for even the slightest hint of any trailer as it doesn’t seem like a script has been made yet meaning shooting has not started right now. Moreover, Marvel has already revealed its MCU Phase 4 slate for the next couple of years so Captain America 4 won’t premier until 2023 at the very latest. So what does this mean for ‘The Falcon and The Winter Solider’ miniseries? My theory is that we might not get another series of the show as everyone who was apart of the series will be working towards the fourth Captain America film as the writers and stars who worked on the show may be involved in the production of the movie. We could see another series if they have already filmed it or Anthony Mackie and everyone else is contracted to shoot the second season before the production of Cap 4.

Because it is a Captain America film then I think its still acceptable to ask the question. Could we see Chris Evans reprise his famous role as Steve Rogers? I don’t think he’ll have a major role if he was involved and may see him be the Falcon’s mentor or just an old friend role or may even be just a small cameo somewhere.
