So, we thought we’d help you out by giving you our personal favourites we have tried so far to help you make the best of your very own movie night in.

Popcorn is one of the essentials for when you watch a movie. A snack which has become a tradition for visiting the cinema and there’s nothing better than freshly popped popcorn straight from the counter. So, if you’re missing the cinema (like us) and are trying to plan your perfect movie night to relive the good times at the cinema then, of course, you’re going to need the best popcorn out there. There are only a few popcorn brands which we have recommended but we have also provided a few good tips and tricks for buying the perfect cinema style popcorn.

 

Always Go For Popcorn Microwave Bags

Now if you don’t understand what I mean then I’ll explain first. So, when buying popcorn from the supermarkets, you may come across already popped popcorn found in bags and are ready to eat straight away. However, there is another option which you should consider purchasing. In my opinion, this variety of popcorn gives you the best cinema-like experience as, unlike the bag variety the microwave bags will taste just like it has come straight from the counter, fresh and warm. Of course, at the end of the day, it is your decision but for me, this popcorn gives you the best possible home cinema experience you could ask for. Just like the cinema’s counter, these come in all your favourite flavours such as the classic sweet and salty. Plus, the best thing about buying your popcorn from the store is that they will have way more flavours to choose from than your regular choices.

 

Try Supermarket Own Brands

Now, this may sound weird at first but hear me out. From experience, I have noticed that with some foods are better when they are the supermarket’s own brands. For example, I found that Asda’s own branded cookies do taste better than some of the more popular branded ones out there. Well that’s just my opinion but I would definitely give it a try. Out of all the supermarkets out there, the ones which I believe serve the best food have to be three in particular which are Asda, Aldi and one which isn’t classed as a supermarket but Marks & Spencer’s food section.

 

 

Tyrrells Sweet & Salty Popcorn

Now if you have not heard of Tyrrells before then let me enlighten you for a moment. Tyrells are well known for their crisps and have got to say that you probably will not find a better brand for these regarding crisps. But what you may not know, especially me until recently, is that they have also created some delicious popcorn for us to enjoy as well. Just like their crisps, they do not disappoint with their popcorn range. There is not one flavour which doesn’t taste better than the other and even though I am more of a salted popcorn guy I am happy to indulge in any of their flavours. I know it isn’t really cinema tradition to snack on crisps but why not pick up one of their crisps as well, you know just in case.

By this time all of you should have heard of Butterkist. Arguably one of the most well-known popcorn brands in the entire nation. For years they have been the go to choose for us and never fail delivering an excellent cinema style popcorn. However, even though their pre-popped popcorn still gives the same taste we feel that the microwaveable bags just gives you that perfect cinema experience. As mentioned before, the reason we believe that this variety of popcorn is better is that it gives you the power to freshly cook your popcorn for when you want it and gives it that authentic cinema taste if it has just come straight from the counter.
