A fresh new Batman movie is set to be released next year starring Robert Pattinson, who’s famous for his role as Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter. This will be a change to what we’re used to featuring a whole new suit look with a different storyline to experience separated from Ben Affleck’s Batman series.

A few days ago a teaser trailer was revealed to the world showing off Robert Pattinson’s new mechanical Batman suit for the upcoming movie. Already, fans have been breaking it down to piece together what it could all mean and what we could possibly expect. The things what we do know from the start off is that the suit seems to involve more mechanical parts from the classic design we have seen and a more advanced suit.

The trailer shows a cinematic look of the new Batman suit with a dark red background and glows with the classic and intense music in the background which fans have already noticed to be somewhat similar to Marvel’s Daredevil. On the other hand, fans are also putting out the theory that this could also be linked to the Batman Year One storyline which the movie could be based off however as of yet not too much has been confirmed about what the movie will be about. Additionally to this, because of the mechanical type bat emblem he now has on his suit this link back to the comics as the community as also noticed that his emblem seemed to be made out of gun parts. In the comics, Batman made his chest plate from the gun which murdered his parents. So could the new Batman movie have something to do with the original comics? We don’t know much yet apart from the fact that it focuses on the early years of Batman.

Meaning that it is the tenth film in DC Extended Universe, it could be the start of something great which could lead to more exciting titles to come for DC. As from what we have seen from Crisis on Infinite Earths DC is starting to map out its multiverse more carefully to allow for even more crossovers to come. So from the knowledge we already know about the multiverse, we can probably make out that Robert Pattinson’s Batman is set on a completely different Earth to Ben Alfeck’s and so on. It will be interesting to see what DC does with this as it leaves a lot of opportunities open to experiment with their productions. The film is set for release on 25th June 2021 in the UK and USA.
