What is next for the Avengers?

After Avengers: Endgame was released and some of our beloved characters sadly passed away or are no longer part of the Avengers, we are struggling to see what could be next for these heroes. No villain to defeat since Thanos and his entire army were killed, timeline intact as Infinity stones returned to the correct time and place so is they are hints of when and how the Avengers will return to our screens. Using content from Endgame and from other sources we have a vague idea of what to expect if they do ever return.
With the Infinity Saga coming to a close in Avengers: Endgame last April it still leaves the inevitable question still unanswered, will they be another Avengers movie? If they will be then it will be definitely different from any Avengers movie we have seen meaning that some of the most beloved characters in the MCU left the Avengers.
What we know for certain is that Marvel is already working on other standalone titles for us including the first ‘Black Widow’ movie, ‘Black Panther 2’, the next ‘Doctor Strange’, ‘Spiderman 3’ with Tom Holland and many more that have already been announced and rumoured. With this in mind, it is safe to say we can not expect another Avengers film for a year or two as the next Marvel productions have already been announced and the actors are also working on their own projects and Marvel standalone. However, it has been said that they are eight unannounced Marvel films in the works for the years 2020-2022 so could one of them be what we are all hoping for meaning as the Avenges franchise and series has become too big in an investment to stop as it keeps topping the box office from their outstanding work.
Firstly let’s recap the main major turn arounds in Endgame which will have a drastic effect on how we will see the Avengers in the future. As we all should be aware, Black Widow bravely sacrificed her life in order for the rest of the Avengers to defeat Thanos, therefore, meaning that sadly we will no longer be seeing our favourite agent Natasha Romanova in any of the future Avengers films if they are any. However, fortunately, Marvel is not finished with Black Widow as of yet as her first-ever standalone film will be releasing next year with another bunch of Marvel films to look forward too. Adding insult to injury, of course, we got to, unfortunately, witness the heroic death of arguably one of the most well known Marvel characters of all time, Iron Man. With Robert Downey Jr’s character, Tony Stark (Iron Man), leaving the MCU after Endgame I think it is safe to say what we have all been dreading. Iron Man will no longer be returning to the MCU or any Avenger film unless it is for a flashback scene or something along the lines of that. In addition to that, Pepper Potts, Tony Stark’s love interest since 2008, has announced that she also will be retiring her role so we will be no longer be seeing her again in the MCU we suppose.

Now, let’s talk about some of the other characters who successfully survived Thanos’ attack. As Thor left the Avengers and went to join the Guardians of the Galaxy, that leaves the opportunity for the next Guardians of the Galaxy to include Thor which in my opinion hilarious to see with arguably the most humorous and best sense of humour characters in the MCU along with the rivalry between Starlord and Thor. On the other hand, it will also be sad to see him leave the Avengers as that is the group that we have all grown up with him being apart of in Marvel so it could take us a while to get used to it but am sure the Guardians will definitely make up for it. And now for the most famous Avenger, there is. After Captain America returned the Infinity stones to the correct times, he reunited with his love Peggy Carter and lived a full life with her. This then meant that he became an old man following the events of Endgame and handed over his famous shield to his long term friend the Falcon because of the factor that Steve Rogers has become too old to carry on as Captain America and that Chris Evans has decided to retire the role.
With these small hints, I think we can say that the Falcon will be taking on the ranks of Captain America. Another hint for this is that the new Marvel production, ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’, poster features the Captain America shield in the background. Of course, the debate whether Tom Holland’s Spiderman is still in the MCU has been questioning all of us, it has now been confirmed that his character is still in the MCU and another Spiderman film is on its way soon. And finally, we have the Hulk. After his incredible transformation into permanently staying as the Hulk whilst also having the benefits as Bruce Banner, we are still unsure where he stands in all of this. Even though he was scared by the effects of the Infinity stones after he used them, he did not die which is a strong suggestion to say that if they are ever another Avengers movie then he would yet again be making an appearance.
For ideas for what the storyline could be for the next possible Avengers movie, they aren’t really much to comment on. Thanos and his army have been wiped from existence meaning that they aren’t really any big threat to take on. What we could say that because the Infinity stones are still intact they could be another storyline with the main focus being them again. But I highly doubt it meaning as the Infinity Saga is now finished.
So, in conclusion, I think it is good to be hopeful for a next Avengers film bu not anytime soon and if they ever are another one be prepared as they will be nothing like what we have seen ever.

This design is steller! You certainly know how to keep a reader amused. Between your wit and your videos, I was almost moved to start my own blog (well, almost…HaHa!) Wonderful job. I really enjoyed what you had to say, and more than that, how you presented it. Too cool!
